More about this Audi TT

Ref:PG53YBC SMC Heritage are proud to present yet another stunning low mileage Mk1 TT Quattro for sale. This incredible 3.2 V6 DSG example is finished in Glacier Blue with contrasting Anis Fine Nappa Leather and has covered just under 23,000 miles from new. MK1 TT (Type 8N) Background: Few cars have managed the transition from concept to production model quite as successfully as the Audi TT. Created by the VW Group Design Centre in California with Porsche firmly in their sights, the concept car was first unveiled at the 1995 Frankfurt motor show. The world was aghast and three years later, even more remarkably little had changed when it made its production debut in September 1998. The world loved it and sales soared, the TT was the boutique car of choice for the late 90’s and early 00’s and a design icon was born Autocar was impressed, describing it as ‘one of Audi’s most engaging machines in recent times… a handling sensation next to its other performance cars… more alive than any Audi we’ve driven since the original quattro’. With a little help from ABT the TT also became a successful racer, Frenchman Laurent Aïello winning the DTM title in 2002 beating Bernd Schneider in the legendary AMG CLK DTM. Another TT claimed 3rd place piloted by Mattias Ekström in the #9 car. The #9 TT-R now lives on digitally as a Grand Turismo legend featuring in every title. Technology and Tradition The TT name has also been attributed to the phrase "Technology & Tradition” This is very apt given the then state of the art and previously unseen laser beam welding techniques used in its production to enable its seamless styling. Whilst it is also a nod to the historic successes of both NSU and DKW in the Isle of Man TT. Both companies later merged into the company now known as Audi Provenance: Built in late 2003 to (B0L) Japanese Specification it was supplied new in Jan 2004 by Kyoto Kita Audi in Japan. The purchaser had specified the vehicle in Glacier Blue with contrasting Anis Fine Napa Leather, Sports Leather Steering Wheel with Paddle shift and ESC. The vehicle would remain in Japan and under the care of Kyoto Audi until 2018 when it was imported to the UK with just 15,000 Miles. Unusually for an Imported vehicle the car comes with all its original Japanese book packs and documentation including stamped service book and export certificate. Offered with incredibly low miles supported by a documented service record this really is as good as it gets. The car is supplied with both keys and all booklets and instructions in the original book pack. Exterior: The Koyoto area is renowned for its mild climate and it has certainly paid dividends here, the LZ7K Glacier Blue Pearl Effect - metallic paint is incredible with a deep glossy shine. The body is totally free from dents or scratches and the panel gaps are even and totally original. The 18-inch V6 exclusive wheels are totally original and unmarked and shod with matching Michelin tyres. All badges, glass and trim are original and unmarked. The previous Owner had even fitted door edge protectors to prevent damage to their pride and joy Under the Bonnet and Underneath: Perhaps even more remarkable than the incredible condition of the paint work and trim is the underside of the vehicle. The vehicle has clearly been used sparingly and sympathetically given the miles and condition, coupling this with the fact that the roads of Japan are salt free means the condition of the chassis is truly remarkable and certainly a world apart from almost every UK supplied example. The engine bay is equally impressive and spotlessly clean with factory stickers still in situ. Interior: The interior is a fabulous place to reside with factory Fine Napa leather finished in Anis yellow with contrasting black carpets and headliner and that iconic dash. The leather sport wheel is unworn and wonderfully tactile. All switchgear is correct and fully functional and aside from some very minor wear around the volume control, free from the fading and discolouration that often affect the black plastics of lesser examples. Pleasingly the factory Concert Audi is still present and the dash pod illuminates correctly with no missing LEDs of faulty readings. The leather is in excellent order with only some gentle patina and is pleasingly free from the discolouration that so often effects soft light coloured interiors. Overview: In incredible condition and with just over 22,000 miles documented this really is a cosseted example and offers a fantastic entry in to modern classic ownership as either a depreciation proof low mileage daily driver, a weekend toy to polish, show and enjoy or perhaps just a solid investment piece to add to your collection. The TT was tipped in the Hagerty 2021 Bull Market list with the Lexus LFA and Ferrari Testarossa for Company. Incredibly TT value checks have increased by 175% in the last 6 Months. If you are looking for one of the very best examples of a truly ground breaking design icon or just looking for a shrewd future classic investment then you need to see this car. The vehicle will be MOT’d and fully service by SMC Heritage prior to collection for complete peace of mind £10,994 Open by appointment only please call us on 01244 539760 or 07890 000145 or 07710 096345 We are always looking for high quality, low mileage classic and modern classic cars and bikes with good service history from the early 60s to the mid 00’s.
